Foligno, my hometown, has often been affectionately called “the city at the center of the world.” The phrase was born from a local newspaper headline — not for any geographical truth, but for the spirit it captures. Nestled in the heart of Umbria, Foligno stands quite literally at Italy’s midpoint, but its real center lies in the life of its people.
In this project, I portrayed a generation of young talents — artists, musicians, and entrepreneurs — who give the city its pulse. Through their faces and stories, Foligno reveals itself as a place both rooted and dynamic, where tradition quietly meets change.
A portrait story from the heart of Italy, where the idea of “center” becomes more about humanity than geography.
