About
Born in Umbria, Italy he started photography with some experiences in Toronto , Canada and from 1992 in Vienna. He began frequent travel to the East and was based for five years in Sydney, Australia. From 2000 he started to work focussing in China and more precisely Shanghai. After many assignments and features, he decided to relocate to Shanghai in 2004.

He has been represented by the Anzenberger Agency since 1992, and a 16-page printed portfolio of his work on Shanghai was published by the agency in 2001 and the reportage on Chongqing featured in the Book East edited in 2008. His photos from Shanghai were included in the books Inside China produced by the National Geographic and in Shanghai: a History in Photographs, 1842 - Today published by Penguin

He is currently based in Shanghai but working in many locations in Asia, mainly under assignment to editorial, corporate and portrait projects.

His photos from Shanghai were widely published and shown at various galleries. In 2005 his feature on the Sigma Recycling Factory in Shanghai was projected at  Visa Pour L'image, France. His Ping Pong School in China project was exhibited at the Leica Gallery in Solms.In 2009 his project "Fallen Angel - Chinese Cosplayer" has been exhibited at the Pingyao Photo Festival.

In 2009 he has started a blog on Fine Art Photography called Augenblick the blog features articles and reviews on fine art photography. He has also contributing in some layout of books and he has curated some exhibitions from other photographers . He also contribute in some lectures on photography.
